CALL FOR ENTRIES - SIUE Graphic Design Exhibition

Accepted, Segregated, or Marginalized: impressions and expressions on race, culture & society today

Description
All design work submitted should explore some aspect or view on race or race related issues. Please do not submit work done for commercial gain. This exhibition is an opportunity for graphic design to be seen as a medium with a visual voice.


Requirements


  • 2 complete Entry forms with each entry.

  • Limit 3 entries per designer/artist

  • Exhibition is juried from actual pieces of work.

  • Work should not exceed 5 feet by 10 feet in size

  • 3-D or sculptural type work is welcome.

  • Work should be gallery/show ready. Frames or permanent mounting/display system with hanging appliances provided (hooks wires etc). No clipframes or sawtooth hangers. Call with questions.

  • Required: E-mail address for notification.


Eligibility
Open to all professional and student designers/artists residing within a 200-mile radius of St. Louis, Missouri. Students may enter work produced through classroom or independent of instruction. (Class based projectsshould list instructor of record) To be eligible, work has to have been designed and produced between January 2006-September 2009

Entry drop off to Art & Design Office, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville by 5:00PM each day

Thursday October 1
Notification by email of accepted works

Friday October 2 - Friday October 9
Pick up non-accepted works

October 5 - November 2
