Devon Hirth, a St. Louis designer and recent graduate from the Maryville University BFA program, was recently announced a winner of the AIGA Center for Cross-Cultural Design "Celebrating the Role of Culture in Design" competition. Entrants into the competition were to submit pieces that "express the intersection between Culture & Design in Today's World." With his second place award, Devon represents the AIGA St. Louis chapter with his informational motion graphic "Been Seeing Pink Lately?." This video is a component of an exposure campaign for a fictional social network called "ingk", a concept developed as Devon's capstone work in his senior year. The purpose of this network is to help link individuals of similar interests, but different cultures, together. This video introduces "ingk" to an international target network.
Prizes of included scholarships to be applied to the AIGA Design Expedition to China in the amount of $250.
