Silkscreening Workshop

UMSL Fine Art Building

Come get your hand dirty and Silkscreen with Work/Play!

In this silkscreening registration workshop we will bring in samples and talk on how to properly register your images for a clean final product. When doing multiple color prints if you're not just laying color on top of each other, it can be difficult and sometimes frustrating to line up the registration correctly. We'll let the participants try their hand at something we've already designed with stations so that they learn the process after we briefly talk on the subject matter.

WORK/PLAY a multi-disciplinary design duo based in St. Louis MO. Originally Danielle studied international relations while Kevin studied graphic communication and earned a BFA in 2004. The two of them often use illustrations, minimalistic design along with experimental printmaking practices when creating either art or when working with a client. From time to time, they can be found enjoying good food, good coffee or sharing any knowledge they have gained along the way during their print demos.
