Portfolio Bootcamp

Get your portfolio in shape for the working world: Hear from our expert panel of St. Louis design professionals to learn tips and tricks to developing a strong design portfolio and march toward the road of success. This is a two part event: First, hear a designer explain the ins and outs of interviewing, the art of presenting your work, and know how to stand apart from the crowd. Second, a panel of design professionals will be asked questions that will help students understand what business recruiters are looking for in a good portfolio.

Our panel includes:

Katy Fisher, Creative Director at TOKY
Buck Smith, Creative Director at FleishmenHillard
Aaron Speropolous, Head of Design and Founder of Big Toy Gun
Jason Keevan, Group Creative Director at Brighton Agency
Traci Moore, Boeing (do we know what Traci’s title is at Boeing?)

When: Saturday November 18th from 10:30am to 12:30pm, we will begin promptly at our start time.

Where: Maryville University, Design + Visual Arts building (Room104) Here is a map that you can reference: http://www.maryville.edu/about/visit/campus-map/

Who: Our primary audience consists of students but anyone who is interested is welcome

Why: Our goal is to help students and young professionals understand how to display and present their work in a compelling manner to help them land a job. In addition, this event was created in order to prepare senior students for the portfolio reviews at the 2018 AIGA St. Louis Student Conference.
