I am proud to have been one of the founding members of the St. Louis chapter of the AIGA, and later serving with Gretchen Schisla as Co-President of the chapter. I am also proud that I produced the first juried AIGA Design Show for St. Louis talent and served on chapter committees for a number of years.
Throughout my roles as designer, creative director, account executive and business owner, I carried with me the strong belief that good design communicates. Now in this fast paced, low attention span, visual age, I believe that designers have an even more important role in communicating with audiences.
I see the AIGA as essential in helping designers, and their clients, understand that graphic design is not merely decoration, but a vibrant visual language.
