AIGA STL Virtual Portfolio Bootcamp 2021

Starting to build your design portfolio? About to graduate from school? Join us for a Virtual Portfolio Bootcamp hosted by AIGA STL. Come learn from our expert panel of St. Louis design professionals to get some guidance in launching your design career. This virtual panel discussion will go over what makes a strong portfolio, tips for applying and interviewing for jobs, and more! We are excited to share some advice and answer your questions.

Panelists joining us will be:

Timothy Hykes: Timothy Hykes aka Tim Hykes is a User Experience designer and Illustrator working in Saint Louis, Missouri. Currently, working at World Wide Technology in the application services as a UX Consultant. Tim has had the pleasure of seeing his work featured on FastCompany, Adobe, Nationally with AIGA, Invision App, and socially with Behance and many other sites and publications. Timothy is nationally known for his side projects which include the 28 Days of Black Designers Project, the Design + Diversity conference, and podcast, and on YouTube on the Tim Hykes channel.

Anna Karpinski: Anna is a graphic designer and illustrator. She went to school at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and majored in Graphic Design with a minor in Art History. She’s currently an Art Director at Osborn-Barr Paramore and is the president of AIGA St. Louis.

Katie Stegemoeller: Katie Stegemoeller is an award-winning designer whose portfolio focuses on digital product design, user experience, print and brand identity. She currently serves as Design Director and Head of Creative at Paradigm, a branding and digital marketing firm in St. Louis. Katie is also an adjunct professor at Webster University, where she teaches a course on digital product strategy and interface.
