Cherokee Street Day

Design X Cherokee St. — 12:30-1:30 at Bomb Door

(2621 Cherokee, 2nd Floor. Enter through door with a bomb painted on it on Texas)

Cherokee Street in south St. Louis lies at the center of the city’s most diverse & densely populated neighborhoods. Throughout its evolution the street has developed a unique identity & culture, born from the independent small businesses, Mexican eateries, infamous festivals, towering murals and most of all from the people that call Cherokee Street home. In this session for STL Design Week, designers of different mediums share how they’ve incorporated the street’s one-of-a-kind character in event branding, landscape design, digital marketing and other creative projects.

Meet the panelists:

L. Irene Compadre, founding principal of Arbolope Studio

Blaise Hart-Schmidt, senior marketing manager at Atomic Dust

Brandin Vaughn, fashion designer, Brandin Vaughn Collection & board chair of the Cherokee Street CID

Carlos Zamora, chief creative officer & founder of CARTEL

moderated by Emily Thenhaus, executive director of Cherokee Street CID
