Creative Reaction Lab

Sign up for a new 24-hour design think tank called Creative Reaction Lab happening this Saturday and Sunday, August 23 - 24 from 4 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Creative Reaction Lab Topic: #Ferguson #RacialInequality
Creative Reaction Lab is a 24-hour design incubator in which designers and communicators of all types come together to brainstorm and develop tangible solutions for some of today's bigger social justice and human rights issues. Want to create a poster campaign to respond to global warming? Do you believe that greeting cards promoting the Millennium Development Goals and United Nations Day will create a more personal dedication to larger scale change? Will a design/social media hybrid movement bring awareness to racial injustice?
In response to Ferguson's unrest and the known racial inequality in the St. Louis region (see BBC Delmar's Divide report for more insight), the first Creative Reaction Lab will take place this Saturday to Sunday, August 23-24 from 4 p.m. to 4 p.m. Due to the high profile nature of this movement, we would like to have a rapid response.

Sign up today as space is limited.
Registration closes at 12 p.m. on Friday (with the possibility of a wait list). Food and refreshments will be provided within this 24-hour period. Participants must bring their own computer.
All participants are encouraged to come to the Creative Reaction Lab with ideas and some background knowledge in mind. (24 hours will go quickly!) Participants will also receive communication from Creative Reaction Lab with prep materials and event location.

Post-Event Action
Creative Reaction Lab will work to bring most, if not all, projects to fruition with community partners. All Creative Reaction Lab projects and in-action shots will be distributed through digital and social media accounts.

Disclaimer: Due to the unknown nature of the final products of each Creative Reaction Lab session, we cannot guarantee that every project will be brought to the mass public. Additionally, depending on the feasibility of each project, timelines of implementation will vary.
