Deanna Kuhlmann Leavitt
Deanna Kuhlmann-Leavitt (ACCD ‘89) began her design career at Morava and Oliver Design Office in Santa Monica twenty-six years ago. In 1995 she moved to St. Louis to open a second office for her long-time employer Douglas Oliver (ACCD ’78). In 2001, after a successful partnership, they parted ways and Deanna established Kuhlmann Leavitt, Inc. Today, KLI is a multi-faceted firm known internationally for its work in the built environment, brand strategy, print and new media. They manage and lead complex projects for both public and private entities. During her 25-year career Deanna has received awards from AIGA, AIA, SEGD, Type Directors Club, Communication Arts and Graphis to name a few. She has been featured in CA, Exhibit Design, the Masters of Design, International Trade Fair Design and many other leading publications. Deanna has served on design juries across the US and Canada, served on AIGA national and local boards, was a TEDx St. Louis speaker, co-founded STL DesignWeek and is a current board member for STL Village.
