Bio

I live in St. Louis, Missouri. Currently I am an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design. I teach in the Department of Art and Design at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) in Edwardsville, Illinois. I earned a MA and a MFA in Graphic Design from The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. I also earned a BA from Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa. 

How did you get started in design?

I wanted to make art on the computer.

What is something you’re most proud of?

Starting in an industry that I wasn’t prepared for and my creative abilities helped me through 19 years in the game.

Where do you find your inspiration?

Nature, Social Justice, daydreaming, youtube

What is the best part of working in your profession?

I have the esteemed opportunity of working with bright folks and new ideas.

What piece of advice would you offer fellow creatives?

Never stop making stuff and keep things fun.

What is your favorite place in St. Louis?

The St. Louis Art Museum and the main branch of the Central Library.
